Why La Bastide
A house made
for reunions.
La Bastide du Causse was designed for this: a large living room where the open kitchen runs into the table, four bedrooms so that everyone has their own corner, two bathrooms to avoid the morning queue, and a walled garden where the children play in front of you while the pool warms in the sun.
In the evening, the terrace under the bioclimatic pergola and the barbecue take over. Everything is private: the house, garden, pool and parking are reserved for the guests of your booking alone.

The bedrooms
Four quiet bedrooms, dressed in premium linen. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are flexible: one queen-size bed or two single beds, always with a mattress topper. Cédric asks for your preference a few days before arrival. Cot and high chair on request.
The shared spaces
Open kitchen onto the big table, living room with a 65-inch television, air conditioning and heating throughout, Wi-Fi. Outside, the terrace under the bioclimatic pergola, the large outdoor table, the charcoal barbecue, the 1,300 m² walled garden and the pool, heated from May to September.

Birthdays, reunions and family celebrations are welcome: the house was renovated to entertain, and our guests are mostly families and groups of friends who love the calm of the causse. We simply ask you to respect the house and the neighbours, and not to exceed the number of people staying: eight at La Bastide, children included.
For a cake, a caterer or an idea for a day out, ask us for advice before your stay.

2 km and 4 minutes from La Bastide, Le Belvédère du Quercy welcomes four more people, with its own infinity pool and its view over the valley: a second whole house, of the same standard, for those who value their independence. The two houses are booked separately, with the same point of contact.

Gourdon’s Saturday market, Cahors and its vineyards, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, a hot-air balloon over Rocamadour, the truffle markets in winter.

Can we have day guests?
The house sleeps eight people at most, children included. If you would like to have a few guests over for lunch or tea, talk to Cédric before your stay.
Can we play music and celebrate?
Family celebrations are welcome. The houses are in hamlets: we ask you to keep the volume reasonable, especially outdoors in the evening.
Is there enough to cook for eight?
Yes: oven, hob, microwave, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, crockery and utensils, Nespresso machine, and the charcoal barbecue outside.
How are the beds configured?
Bedrooms 1 and 2: queen-size bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4: your choice of one queen-size bed or two single beds. Tell us your preference and we prepare the house accordingly.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, €800 for La Bastide, as a simple card imprint registered online before arrival: no amount is blocked or charged.
Is the pool safe for children?
The pool is private and the garden is enclosed, but children must remain under adult supervision, especially around the water. The house has stairs.
